Immigration regulations allow students to be enrolled at their institution (Ohio State) and another institution for the same term; this is referred to as concurrent enrollment.
In order for the student to be considered full-time and thereby maintain F-1 status, the combined number of credits for which the undergraduate student is enrolled must equal 12.
In order to enroll concurrently, the student must fill out the Concurrent Enrollment form and have it signed by both the Ohio State Academic Advisor and the Columbus State Academic Advisor. The form must be returned to the Office of International Affairs no later than the 1st Friday of the semester in which the student is concurrently enrolled.
For students who are taking classes at Columbus State and Ohio State concurrently, there is the possibility of Cross Registration. For more information, please visit the Office of the University Registrar's web site.
