The Executive Committee was established using a shared governance structure. Given GOHi’s unique and diverse composition, the Executive Committee body includes both internal (university) and external (non-university) members to guide the implementation of GOHi’s strategic plan.

Initially founded as a working group in 2012, this committee evolved over several years as more faculty members at The Ohio State University became engaged with the One Health paradigm. In 2017, an official Faculty Advisory Committee was convened with dean-appointed representatives from each of the seven health science colleges, as well as various other colleges and units across Ohio State, including OSU Extension. Committee members are charged with representing GOHi within their other appointments and serving as conduits for relevant information and opportunities from their respective units.
