Trinity Raber is a junior studying Environment, Economy Development & Sustainability and minoring in Professional Writing. She studied abroad on the Agricultural and Environmental Communication program in England and Scotland during the summer of 2023. 

My study abroad experience was one of the best experiences I have had so far at Ohio State! My program was focused on agricultural and environmental communication in England and Scotland and ran for two weeks in May. Our group included seven students from Ohio State and about 20 students from the University of Arkansas!

I chose this program because I have a professional writing minor in addition to my major in EEDS and wanted to learn more about the field of environmental communication. While abroad, my group and I got to visit working farms and newspapers to learn about communication needs in the UK as well as the environmental issues they are facing today. We also got to visit many different beautiful places, such as Lake Windemere, Stonehenge, Parliament, St. Andrews and more!

I truly loved this study abroad experience because I was able to learn more about a career field that combines my major and minor, experience a new country and form lasting connections. I made some great friendships while on this trip with both Ohio State and Arkansas students and got the chance to explore two beautiful countries at the same time.

I highly recommend studying abroad if you get the chance - you'll get to learn so much more about a different country, your academic field and yourself!
