"Studying exotic animal behavior and welfare in South Africa was an incredible experience! We visited several different wildlife habitats including farms, rehabilitation centers, sanctuaries, private game reserves, and Kruger National Park and considered the implications these places have on animal behavior and welfare," says zoology major Brenna Braasch after her "South Africa: Exotic Animal Behavior and Welfare" education abroad program offered by the Department of Animal Sciences.

"This education abroad experience has given me the opportunity to appreciate the diversity, complexity, and value of alternative animal management techniques on individual animals and entire populations of wildlife species."
