International and domestic students can enter a lottery every autumn and spring semester to participate in a free break trip. Past cities have included Chicago, Memphis, Nashville, Washington D.C., Louisville and Philadelphia.
There are usually 40 spots available, 20 for international students and 20 for domestic students. Transportation, lodging, all breakfasts, some group meals and all activity admissions are provided at no cost. During the trips, Global Engagement coordinators lead students on tours and discussions pertinent to American culture and history.
Throughout the year, students can also sign up for free day-long excursions to various cities closer to Columbus and local events.
